Wax & Vino: A Candle & Georgian Wine Workshop

Join us for Wax & Vino, an immersive candle-making and Georgian wine tasting experience hosted by Ari’s Wicks and Vino Ghvino 21 at the Vino Ghvino 21 warehouse and tasting room on Saturday, March 28th at 1:00pm until 3:00pm (21+)

This is the first of many workshops and wine-tasting experiences in our ongoing collaboration — two women-owned businesses bringing creativity, culture, and community together. We are beyond excited to share this unique experience with you!

 The Experience

Spend the afternoon pouring your own 8 oz soy wax candle, choosing from a curated selection of phthalate-free fragrances, and personalizing it with unique florals from the Herb Bar. While you craft, you’ll also taste and learn about the 8,000-year-old tradition of Georgian winemaking, guided by Vino Ghvino 21. Explore 21 rare, exotic, and historic vintages — all natural, organic, and sulfite-free, so you can sip without worry.

Throughout the candle workshop, guests will taste six Vino Ghvino specially selected wines, each paired with the candle-making experience to enhance your senses and create a truly memorable afternoon. Below you’ll find the 6 wines, included in the wine tasting: 

Gorgeous - Brut Sparkling Wine – Made from Rkatsiteli, Mtsvane, Tsolikouri, and
Sauvignon grapes. Sparkling Georgian Wine made with the highest quality.
Golden color with lively bubbles to toast any occasion. ALC 12% by Vol.

Guinevere – Mtsvane - Dry White Wine - Pale gold with greenish highlights. An
inviting floral aroma with hints of grapefruit and lemon. Full and weighty to the
taste. Notes of tropical fruits and green apples. Crisp and zesty finish. ALC 12% by Vol.

Verde – Kisi - Semi-Sweet Green Wine - The first of its kind in America. This
naturally made green wine from Georgia has no additives or dyes. Made using
skinless Kisi white grapes with added Saperavi red grape skins during the
fermentation process. Shines like raw emeralds with a refreshing sweet and zesty
wine taste. ALC 14% by Vol.

Viola - Saperavi Rose' - Semi-Sweet Rose' Wine - Dark Pink in color with an
exciting aroma. Both light and sweet with a refreshing acidic finish. ALC 11.5%
by Vol.

Vesta – Kindzmaurali - Semi-Sweet Red Wine - Micro-zone wine made from the
Georgian national treasure Saperavi grape. Rich purple in color possessing a
unique aroma of black fruits and spices. Sweet blackberry and black cherry
preserves are an exciting triumph to the palate. ALC 11.5% by Vol.

 Vitality - Saperavi Qvevri - Dry Red Wine - Made with the 8000-year-old ancient
winemaking tradition using in-ground qvevri clay pots. Deep intense cherry flavor
with a bold red color. Rich in aromas of ripe cherries and red berries. Light notes
of vanilla and a long-lasting aftertaste. ALC 12.5% by Vol.

If there are any wines you or your group would like to taste that are not included in the lineup above, you are welcome to purchase the requested bottle to share during the workshop or keep for yourself. We would be happy to include it in the tasting presentation. All wines will also be available for purchase at the conclusion of the event, with prices ranging from $21.99 to $37.99 per bottle. ‼️ Important Arrival Policy ‼️

• All guests must arrive at least 10 minutes before the scheduled start time to complete the required liability waiver.

• Guests who arrive 15 minutes or more after the scheduled start time will forfeit their experience.

• No exceptions and no refunds will be issued for late arrivals.

This policy is strictly enforced out of consideration for other guests and their experience. Please plan accordingly and allow extra time for traffic and parking.

Helpful Tips & Information

Location: Wax & Vino will be hosted at the Vino Ghvino 21 Wine Warehouse, located at 1717 S 50th St., Tampa, FL 33619.

Attire: We recommend business casual or “girl boss” vibes! The warehouse is kept at 68°F to preserve the quality of the wines, so if you tend to get cold, we suggest dressing warmly or bringing a jacket.

Parking: Ample parking is available in the front of the building as well as in the large grass lot behind the warehouse. Guests may park anywhere on the property.

Open bar: A open bar will be available during the event, offering wines by the glass, natural vodka seltzers, and beer, with prices ranging from $5–$10.
